Municipal Officers.

Nestled in midcoast Maine at the entrance of the beautiful Penobscot Bay,
Knox County is a mixture of mainland and island communities with rocky shores,
majestic mountains, and glorious hills and valleys. All of the 18 municipalities in
the county are unique and wondrous and offer visitors to this region everything from pastoral
landscapes to rugged coastal seascapes.
Knox County is the lobster capital of the world and much of the coastal economy is
intimately linked to the fishing industry. Many inland parts of the county have a distinctly rural or forest
land quality to them. Tourism is an important economic driver throughout the county. Knox County
is a great place to live, to raise a family, and to enjoy a great environment and quality of life. For native
Mainers or folks "from away", Knox County is also a great spot for Democrats!

KCDC Meetings:
|
|
Knox County Democrats normally meet monthly on the
second Tuesday of the month at the Stella Maris House in Rockland, Maine, which is located at the corner of Park and Broadway.
During campaign seasons our meetings move to our campaign headquarters; our 2008 location is to be determined.
We occasionally have a pot luck supper before the 7-9 PM meeting.
All are welcome to attend.
Meeting notices are mailed monthly to all KCDC members and those Democrats who request
them via email or USPS snail mail. Notices are usually published in local newspapers.
From time to time we have guest speakers, often candidates for political office.
One feature of each meeting is an opportunity to meet area legislators face to face and discuss the issues directly with them.
Additional activities and projects ramp up as the campaigns progress and the election
draws near. Please click on the "Calendar of Events" button on the navigation menu to see our current calendar of events.
