  • Celebrate Independence Day in a parade!

Bring family, friends, and house guests to join Knox Democrats in the Thomaston 4th of July parade, next Thursday. We'll march as a group behind our banner, accompanied by as many Democratic legislators as still have strength after their demanding session.

    WHERE:

Dwight Street, across from the Thomaston Public Library.

Traveling NORTH on Route 1 - go through Thomaston's downtown business block and look for Dwight Street on your left.

Traveling SOUTH on Route 1 - stay on Route 1 through the traffic light at Route 131, continue up the hill and look for Dwight Street on your right.

A volunteer at Dwight Street will direct you to the parade line-up.
Look for the big blue Knox Democrats banner.

    PARKING:

Oceanside West High School (formerly Georges Valley) and on Annabelle Lane (road to public works garage, off Erin Street, which is next to Dwight Street.)

    WHEN:

    Line-up starts at 9:00 a.m.; cuts off at 10:30.
    Parade starts at 11:00.

After the parade, stop by our booth on the fairgrounds. The food booth committee has come up with some new treats, in addition to their usual and fantastic fried dough. Then come back at dark to enjoy the fireworks.
