Our October meeting is Tuesday, the 14th
at Stella Maris House in Rockland. This will be our last meeting before the November 4th election. We will discuss our final month's Get-Out-The-Vote strategy, outline our volunteer needs, and plan our election night get-together. The complete agenda will be posted soon.

Maine Citizens for Clean Elections (MCCE) will hold a Tele-town Hall meeting from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sep 30th. Harvard Law professor Larry Lessig, founder of Mayday.us, a crowdfunded "Super PAC to end all Super PACs," will join MCCE to answer your questions and discuss the Clean Elections Initiative and its importance to the national movement to get big money out of politics. 10/01, Wednesday: The Courier hosts Maine Senate District 12 Democratic candidate Dave Miramant and his Republican opponent in a debate on Wednesday, Oct 1st, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Lecture Hall at Camden Hills Regional High School.
Prior to the debate, questions for the candidates will be accepted via email to Courier Publications at: firstname.lastname@example.org, submitted no later than Monday, Sept. 29, at 5:00 p.m.
Questions from the audience will be accepted at the debate also, in writing, and asked through the moderator, time permitting.

Election Day. Everyone votes, then comes to Headquarters to watch the returns, draw the raffle prizes, and celebrate (time to be announced.)
Please attend your local events - it's a big boost for our team to see you there. They can often face a hostile crowd.

Municipal Chair Training, Sept 20th, Machias
The Municipal Committee of the Maine Democratic Party will hold a training for new municipal chairs (or any experienced chairs who would like a refresher!) on Saturday September 20, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the MDP Machias Campaign Office, 182 Main St., Machias, ME 04654.
This training will examine the various roles the municipal chair is called on to fill, examine leadership, take a look at maintaining a volunteer cadre, and cover some internal and campaign organizing roles. Please feel free to bring other officers or key volunteers.

KCDC's Great Election Season Travel Raffle
The Knox County Democratic Committee is holding a Campaign Season Travel Raffle. Tickets are $20. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold. The winners will be drawn on election night, November 4.
Four day, three night trip to Disney World for four people. The trip includes airfare, on-site housing, transportation to and from the Orlando airport, and Disney World passes for 3 days, based on travel between April and November 2015. (Winner will receive a $4,000 voucher which may be used for this trip or other travel.)
Spirit Soaring glider ride with Dave Miramant:
This is a 3/4 hour ride from Owl's Head airport with views of Penobscot Bay and the closer Islands of Vinalhaven, North Haven, and Isle au Haut. Also breathtaking views of the distant mountains: Katahdin, Washington and Sugarloaf.
Thanks to Arthur Dumican and Jean Morrison who are heading up this effort. Tickets are on sale at our HQ and from many members.
