2016 Maine State Convention Logistics Debrief
Please join fellow Knox Maine Democrats for a 2016 Maine State Convention Logistics Debrief & Dessert Potluck
Tuesday, May 31, 7:00 p.m.
at Stella Maris House, 148 Broadway, Rockland, ME.
We will discuss Convention logistics so we can recommend improvements to MDP leadership for future conventions.
Please bring a food item or ground coffee to donate to Stella Maris tenants as a token of appreciation for using their space, as well as a dessert to share with fellow Knox Dems.

KCDC's Recommended Platform Changes were reported out by our Executive Committe at its meeting on April 21st. The changes recommended by Knox County Democrats Lynn Luzzi and Richard Nelson as reviewed, edited and adopted by the Executive Committee may be found here (237K pdf). These proposed changes will be sent to MDP's Platform Committee for consideration at the State Convention on May 6 and 7.
Our April Meeting was Tuesday, the 12th, at Stella Maris House in Rockland .
Among other business, the group voted to have KCDC's executive committee hold a special meeting to consider proposed changes to the State Party platform. And to wit:
KCDC's Executive Committee will meet on Thursday, April 21, at 3:00 p.m. to consider changes to the Maine Democratic Party platform proposed by KCDC members. The meeting will take place at Stella Maris House, 148 Broadway, Rockland. Registered Democrats from Knox County are invited to attend the meeting.
KCDC members may submit their recommended platform changes to Bruce Hodsdon by email or in person before 5:00 p.m. on April 20 to Bruce Hodsdon, email: bruceHodsdon@gmail.com.

Knox County has several alloted delegates to the State Party Convention (May 6 and 7) that were not filled at the caucuses, or have become vacant since the caucuses. The vacancies will be filled by election at meetings held by the Sanders and Clinton campaign committees.
- The Bernie Sanders Delegate and Alternate Vacancy Elections will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 7:00 p.m. at the Stella Maris House, 148 Broadway, Rockland, ME. FMI: Benjamin Collings (Maine state Director for the Sanders campaign) email@example.com.
- The Hillary Clinton Delegate and Alternate Vacancy Elections will be held on Thursday, April 21, 6:00 p.m. 5:30 p.m., at 8 Timber Cliffe Drive, Camden, ME. FMI: Christie Gidumal (Knox County rep for Hillary For America) 603-565-2751, firstname.lastname@example.org.

Clean Elections Funding
is a key element to our Legislative candidates' success. As individuals we provide the $5 contributions to the Maine Clean Elections fund that qualify each of them for public funding of their campaigns.
The easiest way to get them jump-started is to donate on-line at:
the Ethics Commission website.
Click the Contribute button, enter your name and address, and select your candidate from the list with your credit card in hand. You can contribute only to the candidates running in your district (Senate and House). Dave Miramant and Chris Johnson, as our Senate candidates, need 175 qualifying contributions. All the House candidates need 60.

The deadline to qualify is April 20th,
so please don't wait!
