Primary Election results:
BDN has coverage.
Congratulations to Kathleen Meil, winner of the House District 94 primary, who will contend in November for the seat against an un-named Republican candidate, and the unenrolled Owen Casas.
Republicans continue to disappoint, naming the lackluster Sonya Sleeper in District 92, and apparently nominating the extremist Mark Holbrook to oppose our Chellie Pingree in the fall.
Our June meeting was Tuesday, the 14th
7:00 p.m. at Stella Maris House in Rockland. The agenda will be posted soon.
The 14th is also Primary Election Day statewide. Voting will include many issues on municipal ballots as well. The only Democratic primary in Knox County is in District 94, where Kathleen Meil and Betsy Saltonstall are campaigning to represent Camden, Islesboro and Rockport in the race for the Maine House of Representatives.

Clean Elections Funding
is a key element to our Legislative candidates' success. As individuals we provide the $5 contributions to the Maine Clean Elections fund that qualify each of them for public funding of their campaigns.
Candidates qualify for additional funds when new supporters in their districts make contributions. For details see our Clean Elections page.
You may refer friends and neighbors to our simple referral page:
which is easy to write on paper, type into a browser, and links directly to the Maine Ethics Commission contribute page.
Note that all our Democratic candidates for Legislature have qualified for Maine Clean Elections Act funding. See our Candidates page.
